We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Application Owner to join our team on clients projects.
As an Infrastructure Application Owner, you will design, analyze, deliver, and maintain infrastructure application solutions. This involves using modern technologies, ensuring security best practices, and maintaining the uninterrupted operations of our services and platforms, whether hosted in data centers or on public cloud providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deliver, and maintain cutting-edge technologies
- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of our standards and security frameworks
- Work closely with other teams to implement new or existing technologies, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure IT systems are always available and lead relevant initiatives.
- Make technical and business decisions confidently, involving business executives and engineering teams as needed
- Identify areas for improvement and develop a long-term quality improvement program for the software application
- Lead the architecture and deployment of new or existing technologies to improve efficiency and ways of working
- Have deep experience with on-premises and cloud technologies, including operating systems, virtualization, databases, security, networking, firewalls, and containerization technologies (e.g., Openshift/Kubernetes)
- Implement and manage Application Servers (e.g., IIS, JBoss, WebLogic, Apache/Tomcat) and have advanced architecture design knowledge (e.g., 2Tier/3Tier Applications).
- Possess Java scripting and Rest API knowledge
- Ensure infrastructure and operational services meet agreed security and service levels.
- Have knowledge of RDBMS (SQL, Oracle, MySQL, etc.) and application-to-database connectivity
- Have basic networking knowledge (e.g., Firewall, Load Balancing, Routing)
- Have good knowledge of hypervisors (e.g., VMWare/Hyper-V)
- Possess technical project management skills
Preferred Skills:
- System coding and scripting for administration purposes (e.g., Python, Perl, Go).
- Experience with Jira ticketing tool
- Knowledge of cloud services (e.g., MS Azure, Amazon, IBM Bluemix)
- Experience with administering and configuring container distribution platforms (e.g., Docker) and container orchestration systems (e.g., Kubernetes)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field
- 3 to 10 years of relevant professional experience in banking or consulting industries
- Experience collaborating and presenting to top management
- Deep understanding of infrastructure architecture and experience coordinating complex cross-functional IT projects
- Fluent in English
- Ability to build confidence within the team
