Apply for Database Administrator

We are looking for a Database Administrator to manage and support the database systems, both on-premises and on the Cloud configurations. In this role, you will take care of database installation, configuration, performance and security, while also helping to automate processes and support IT projects.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor NoSQL databases (Cassandra, MongoDB, Cosmos DB, etc.) both on-premises and in the Cloud
• Install, configure, test and maintain databases
• Ensure systems run smoothly and remain highly available
• Maintain strong performance, security, backup/recovery, and redundancy processes
• Write and maintain scripts to automate tasks and reduce manual work
• Take part in IT projects and support technical teams when needed
• Monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and work with developers to resolve issues

Requirements & qualifications: 

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
• Good understanding of Relational Databases (RDBMS)
• Experience with Linux (Red Hat) is a plus
• Scripting skills
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in Greek and English
• A mindset focused on learning, improving and simplifying solutions while implementing new features
